1) The Valley Bar & Grill and Restaurant Tour

Tour begins at the The Smoke House, home of "Fine Food at a Fair Price," since 1946. We begin at lunch time and visit a number of landmark dining rooms and watering holes. Day concludes with dinner at the Smokehouse. Tour includes:

Smoke House Burbank.

Since one can eat only so many meals, this is basically a drinking and appetizer tour, with time out for a meal or two.

2) Route 99: The San Fernando Road Motel Tour

This tour, to the darker side of the San Fernando Valley, runs through Pacoima, San Fernando and Sunland. It is more of an urban archeologists tour through older, poorer parts of the Valley that look as though time has stood still.

The tour includes old cafes, motels, Whitman Air Field and used car lots, with stops for beer and pool along the way.

Sites include:

Whitman Air Field
Trader Vic's Used Cars
Cadillac Jack's
The Pink Motel
Coral Bells Motel
The Hollywood Motel
The Redwood Inn Motel
The Pacoima Trailer Park
The Jay Motel
The Silver Dollar
And more......
